My google search API

Here is a link to my self created google search API:

Google Code

I created this purely in python using the mechanize module. If you search google with the links given in your browser, you would soon be stopped as google detects that someone is using a crawler.

Using mechanize I emulate a browser in the shell itself, which fills the google search form and then returns an iterator.

You can use this iterator to get the links from google one by one.

*Please don’t try to do (list(iter)), as the google results can count ot millions and billions, and you may get a MemoryError in that case..!!

Quite easy to use, but I believe the code can be made better.. 🙂
